Anyone working in the area of welfare, counselling and pastoral care, faces a big set of challenges.
There are broken marriages to rebuild, troubled people to restore, parents who need wisdom and encouragement, and men and women struggling with issues like pornography in the highly sexualised culture we are living in.
That’s where Restore Conference comes in.
A joint initiative of Focus on the Family and Careforce Lifekeys, the conference is designed to equip Pastors and leaders in addressing many of the issues families are facing today.
Speakers will include Allan and Helen Meyer, the Careforce Lifekeys co-founders, who have decades of experience coaching churches in how to restore their communities. Helen is currently completing a Masters in Sexual Health and will speak on some of the insights she has gained from her studies.
Brett Ryan, head of Focus on the Family Australia, will also be speaking, in his areas of passion such as equipping parents in raising their children, strengthening marriages, work-life balance, resilience and mental health.
Restore conferences will be held in Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, Toowoomba, Tweed Heads, Adelaide and Perth. The Sydney event is on Wednesday June 21, 9:30am to 1pm, at The Centre in Dural.
