Corby Supporter Professor Jeff Lewis discusses the Schapelle Corby Case

With the impending parole in Bali of convicted criminal Schapelle Corby, Ray Kington spoke with RMIT University Professor Jeff Lewis.

Schapelle Corby was found guilty of drug smuggling in Indonesia and jailed in 2005

Lewis, an expert on Indonesia and a friend and supporter of the Corby family spoke about Corby’s charges, his relationship with the Corby family and how Schapelle may cope when released from prison. Professor Lewis was present at Denpasar District Court on the day of Corby’s conviction in 2005.

Professor Lewis has conducted research on Bali and Indonesia over many years and is the co-author of Bali’s Silent Crisis (Rowman and Littlefield, 2009). He is a Professor in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT.
