Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Packing Day – Hurstville
St George’s Hurstville Anglican Church is having an Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing day, we would like to invite the community to donate gifts and bring them on Sunday to complete the shoeboxes for kids in need.
If you would like to know more about the event and what gifts to donate, we have volunteers in Hurstville Westfield on the 14th and 21st of October from 10am-6pm Saturdays in October to provide you with more information about this community packing day. We also have kids activities where you can help to create gifts for children in developing countries.
Wheel ‘n’ Weft Christmas Art & Craft Sale – Thornleigh
The Hornsby based art & craft group, Wheel ‘n’ Weft, has been operating for over 40 years. The group raises money for charity and this year it is supporting Heart Kids Australia which is dedicated to providing support to families of children with heart disease.
Everyone is warmly invited to Wheel ‘n’ Weft’s next Christmas-themed exhibition and sale where there will be a beautiful range of our members’ unique, handmade arts and crafts including ceramics, glass, jewellery, paintings, weaving, needlework, home wares, cards, bags, toys, woodwork, and gourmet foods available to purchase.
Admission is $5 which includes refreshments.
Fair Trade Market
Shop for beautiful and unique Christmas gifts while helping those in the developing world. More than twenty Fair Trade stallholders selling goods from around the developing world -toys, clothes, jewelry, home wares, tea, coffee, Christmas cards and more. Great night out for whole family – live music, great coffee, delicious food.
All stalls are undercover… A not-for-profit event, any surplus covers running costs only.
Fair Trade empowers individuals and develops communities ensuring producers in poor countries get a fair deal through consistent prices, ethical resourcing and safe, decent working conditions without exploitation of vulnerable women and children.
C3 Silverwater Christmas Spectacular – Silverwater
FREE EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Christmas is fast approaching, and there’s no better time to come together as a community and celebrate! Tis the season to be jolly, indeed, with a FREE event hosted by C3 Church Silverwater.
We are so excited to welcome anyone and everyone to a night of carols, children’s entertainment, rides, food, the Christmas story and if we’re lucky…a visit from Santa.
We love you Sydney and we can’t wait to host you on this special night.
Thomian Carol Service: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Parramatta
The Thomian Carol Service is a much anticipated event now in its 9th year. Alumni of S. Thomas’ College in Sri Lanka together with the Sri Lankan community in Sydney will usher in the Advent season to celebrate the Festival of Carols and Nine Lessons.
David Sansoni an accomplished musician will train and conduct the choir backed by the well know organist Godelieve Ghavalas. The preacher will be an old boy of the College Rev Dharshan Fernando from Sri Lanka and Rev Owen Goddard of All Saints Church Parramatta will preside.

St John’s Gordon Christmas Twilight Market – Gordon
St John’s Gordon Christmas Twilight Market will be held on Friday, 1 December 2017.
The Christmas market will feature a variety of stalls selling homemade cakes and jams, arts and crafts, fashion, jewellery, Christmas decorations, and stocking fillers. You can also stock up on gourmet treats with traditional homemade Christmas cakes and puddings and other stalls selling a range of sweet and savoury goods. The St John’s Op Shop will also be open.
Enjoy a coffee and cake, champagne and strawberries, a tasty barbeque, and Christmas carols. Plenty of parking close by or use the Gordon train station and bus interchange.
Twilight Carols & Open Day – Collaroy
We would love to join us for our Open Day & Twilight Carols!
From 3:30pm to 5:30pm you will be able to try out our brand new exciting 2 level High Ropes Course, or play a round of Laser Tag Challenge on our newly upgraded field.
There will also be site tours running throughout the afternoon.
Food and drink will be available on site from 5:30pm, and the Twilight Carols will run from 7-8:30pm and will include a visit from Santa!
Why not make an afternoon of it. Bring the family, bring your rug, and join us for some Festive Fun!
Community Carols and Family Fun – Dundas

Community Christmas Carols – Thornleigh
Back for another year! Bring a picnic blanket or some chairs, your friends and your family and enjoy Traditional Christmas carols with our awesome band.
Starts approx 6:30pm, come early to get a good spot.
Food stalls if you want to buy some dinner. Plenty of things for the kids to do.
